Children 4 Tomorrow is to rebuild and restore children’s minds to a healthy state through sound counseling. Children 4 Tomorrow will provide funds for counseling through events, fundraisers, and donations. Each child will be evaluated on emotional and mental behaviors through the Carole and Ronald Krist Samaritan Center, which has 23 different locations, or the Cy-Hope Counseling Center to determine the necessary counseling. The outcome from these evaluations will determine the funds received, identify and direct clients to sources for legal assistance and counseling. The program is design to be assessable to at-risk families with children in jeopardy of losing critical life skills needed to interact with others. Nurturing these skills is essential in reducing or eliminating the development of other serious behaviors. Children 4 Tomorrow seeks to identify children suffering emotional abuse and to offer a positive support system.

Children 4 Tomorrow offers emotionally abused children an opportunity to make a dramatic change in their lives through professional counseling, and legal support. Our organization offers a comprehensive program to combat the emotional underdevelopment of children who fail to grow into healthy adults due to emotional abuse. Children 4 Tomorrow recognizes the consequences of emotional abuse at different ages and developmental stages.

Children 4 Tomorrow has developed the LEAP Program to educate individuals on emotional abuse and restoring skills to enhance a child’s future. The LEAP Program has been developed especially for parents, teachers, professionals and any adult that is interested in learning about the effects that emotional abuse has on children. The goal for this program is to train individuals to understand and recognize emotional child abuse. Individuals learn how to battle the effects of the abuse, recognize a child in an abusive situation, and regain personal hope to see a brighter future. Nurturing these skills is essential in reducing or eliminating the development of other serious behavioral problems. Children 4 Tomorrow recognizes the consequences of emotional abuse at different ages and developmental stages. This 4 course program presents a certificate of completion at the end of the course suitable for submission to the Harris County Family Law Court. This course series is also eligible for professional development units (PDU) and continuing education units (CEU).

LEAP-E program development is designed to create the specialized intervention curriculum for educators. Children 4 Tomorrow have demonstrated the capacity to continually raise awareness through its LEAP program and format. This program is a modified format directed to raising awareness to educators with respect to emotional child abuse. Emotional child abuse is challenging since it is often seen as less acute than other forms of abuse, although its impact upon children can be severe and long lasting. Teachers and school faculty members, more than other groups of adults, are trained professionals who interact with hundreds of children daily. However, many educators lack the tools to identify and address the emotional abuse, where countless children are victims. LEAP-E provides these educators a solution and has developed a mechanism for teacher to further address emotional abuse. LEAP-E is a six hour course tailored to the needs of educators in providing these tools to the most numerous professional adult group. This program is written according to the Southern Association of Southern College, therefore allow professionals to earn Continuing Education Unites (CEU’s) and Professional Development Unites (CEU’s).
